Contract

PURPOSE - This contract outlines the agreement between Bloomful Music Therapy (BMT) and Regina Residential Resource Centre (RRRC) regarding services in July and August 2020. *

SCHEDULE - BMT will provide a 45 - 60 minute group each visit. The first group is scheduled for 3:00pm on July 15, 2020. Subsequent groups for July and August 2020 will be scheduled as per availability of BMT and RRRC. *

GROUP DETAILS - The group size will be kept small (approximately 4 participants with 2 to 3 support staff). The ages and abilities of the participants may be varied and the participants could be different every group. Potential goal areas that the group could provide opportunities for include recreation, enjoyment, social interaction, decreasing anxiety, movement, listening, and following directions. The groups will take place outdoors within the yard at 1047 Wadey Drive. *

FEES AND PAYMENT - The fee for a 60 minute group is $75.00. The preferred method of payment is a cheque made payable to ‘Amara Samchinsky’ or an email money transfer to amara@bloomful.ca. Payments are due within two weeks of a group occuring unless other arrangements have been made. *

CANCELLATIONS - BMT or RRRC may cancel a group due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to an emergency situation, illness, and/or poor weather. Cancelled groups can be rescheduled, if agreed to by both BMT and RRRC. If a group is cancelled by RRRC for reasons other than unforeseen circumstances, notification of the cancellation by email or phone to BMT is required a minimum of 24 hours in advance, else the group will still be charged. If a group is cancelled by BMT, RRRC will not be charged. *

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS - Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, precautions must be taken to ensure the safety of the participants, staff, and music therapist and current Public Health Orders must be followed. The COVID-19 protocols of Bloomful Music Therapy must include: • The group must be cancelled if the music therapist has symptoms or has been in contact with someone who has a suspected or known case of COVID-19 • The music therapist will wear a mask during the group • The music therapist will keep a distance of 4m when singing and will attempt to keep a physical distance of 2m else wise • Instruments will not be shared within the group without proper sanitization. The COVID-19 protocols of RRRC must include: • The group must be cancelled if any participants and/or staff members have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has a suspected or known case of COVID-19 • RRRC staff will ensure that proper hand washing or sanitization occurs before and after the group • RRRC staff will do their due diligence in screening both staff and participants for symptoms and/or potential exposure before the group. By agreeing to this contract, RRRC acknowledges that RRRC staff and participants will not hold BMT responsible if they are exposed to or contract COVID-19 as a result of attending these groups. *

RESPONSIBILITIES - The responsibilities of RRRC include: • Bringing the participants to the group • Providing an appropriate space for the group to take place • Having an adequate amount of staff present within the group to assist (minimum one) • Relaying any important information to the music therapist (relating to space, participants, or otherwise) • Paying invoices in a timely manner • Adhering to the COVID-19 protocols as identified above. The responsibilities of Bloomful Music Therapy include: • Providing a music group relevant to RRRC’s expectations • Checking in with staff regarding feedback on the group • Providing timely invoices • Adhering to the Canadian Association of Music Therapists Code of Ethics • Adhering to the COVID-19 protocols as identified above. *

TERMINATION - If either BMT or RRRC is unable to fulfill the terms of this agreement, groups may be immediately terminated. *
